ADRIAN UNDERHILL CU AGAIN

Adrian Underhill is an up-and-coming Canadian songwriter who skilfully combines lo-fi beats, off-kilter keys and pop songwriting, resulting in a string of melodious, alternative tracks that are leading up to Underhill’s debut album. Slated for release on February 9th 2018, ‘Weather’ is the fourth song to be shared from the CU AGAIN LP. It’s a blissfully dreamy song with ascending voice and piano melodies that make each sage lyric a catchy little morsel of pop songwriting. “And If I keep this course, I might not reach the source” ponders Underhill, and so he comes to the realisation: “I’ve got to change with the weather, even just a little rain, I’ve got to change with the weather, if I don’t want to stay the same,” as we hear in the delightful chorus. Speaking about ‘Weather’, and in particular the production process behind it, the Toronto-based musician shares: “I really love how the production came out on this song. Adam (Bainbridge) took my original demo and just kinda warped it and morphed it, almost like a remix, adding new drums and changing the keyboard sounds I had played. Then we added the live piano and synth bass from Brandon Coleman (Kamasi Washington) and Keith Eaddy. In the end it’s quite playful and strange – it’s a great combination of sounds.” - HT
